CState Book Club invites you to discuss “The Book of Hope” on Mar. 28

The Cincinnati State Book Club invites all faculty and staff members to join the discussion on Thursday, March 28, of The Book of Hope: A Survival Guide for Trying Times, by Jane Goodall and Douglas Abrams.

The March club meeting will start at 4:30 p.m. in the Library Conference Room.

All are welcome to join the casual conversation– even if you haven’t finished reading the book. And it’s OK if you need to arrive after 4:30.

In The Book of Hope, Jane Goodall–the world’s most famous living naturalist–and Doug Abrams, internationally-bestselling author, explore one of the most sought after and least understood elements of human nature: hope. The publisher says: “Goodall focuses on her Four Reasons for Hope: The Amazing Human Intellect, The Resilience of Nature, The Power of Young People, and The Indomitable Human Spirit.”

“Told through stories from Goodall’s remarkable career and fascinating research, The Book of Hope touches on vital questions including: How do we stay hopeful when everything seems hopeless? How do we cultivate hope in our children? Filled with engaging dialogue and pictures from Goodall’s career, The Book of Hope is a deeply personal conversation with one of the most beloved figures in today’s world.”
