Condolences to the family of Karl von Kampen

Karl von Kampen, one of the College’s founding faculty members, died December 25, 2023.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life later this spring.

Karl was an instructor and coordinator for Automotive Service Management, a program available to students when the Cincinnati Technical Institute (CTI) was created in 1969.

CTI was renamed as Cincinnati Technical College in 1972.

Karl is listed on the “Founder’s Plaque” installed on the first floor of the Main Building, near the lobby. The bronze marker describes the early history of the College and recognizes those who were those involved in its establishment.
