Office of Online Learning seeks Part-time Instructional Support Specialists

The Office of Online Learning is seeking candidates for two part-time instructional support positions, to enhance the College’s online course quality. Both positions are open to current Cincinnati State full-time or adjunct faculty members.

• Part-Time Instructional Support Specialist – Online Course Design (click to download the position description) – This role involves conducting assessments using an abbreviated Quality Matters (QM) checklist to ensure the highest standards in online course design. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating internal reviews, collaborating with divisional administration, and working closely with course representatives.
• Part-Time Instructional Support Specialist – Course Alignment (click to download the position description) – This role will contribute to the quality of College instructional design by helping to ensure alignment of courses, including Program Learning Objectives, Module Learning Objectives, instructional materials, tools, activities, and assessments.

Qualifications for both positions include:

• Current Cincinnati State full-time or adjunct faculty member
• Minimum of 3 semesters of successful online teaching experience AND experience developing an online or hybrid course in the last 5 years
• Completion of the Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR) training OR the ability to complete the training prior to beginning the position
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Other skills and qualifications noted in the job description

Both positions will be contracted for one semester at a time, with an option to renew. Compensation will be determined using course units, based on the number of courses being reviewed by the Support Specialist.
