The Office of the Provost has announced that starting in January 2024, the Cincinnati State Center for Teaching and Learning and the Office of Online Learning will report to Dr. Stephanie Stafford, in her new role as Associate Dean of Teaching and Online Learning.

Associate Provost Dr. Denise Rohr said the new structure is intended to “foster functionality, sustainability, and synergy between these two critical departments.”

“We believe this new alignment will enhance collaboration, streamline communication, and maximize the impact of the academic support services provided by these departments,” Dr. Rohr said. “We are confident that Dr. Stafford’s expertise and leadership will contribute significantly to the success of both the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Office of Online Learning.”

Dr. Stafford has served as the Assistant Dean of Online Learning since August 2021. Prior to taking that administrative position, she was a faculty member in the Math department for eight years, including serving as Department Chair. As a faculty member, Stephanie also served as Vice President of the Faculty Senate and was a member of the Academic Technology Committee, the Budget Advisory Team, and many other College committees and workgroups.

Stephanie said, “I’m honored to have the opportunity to contribute in my new role to the enhancement of academic support services and the learning experiences of our faculty and students.”

She added, “I’ve been inspired by the positive response I have received from faculty and administration in my previous role with the Office of Online Learning, and thankful for the commitment to academic excellence that is the driving force for our College’s success.”

“I look forward to the exciting journey ahead and to working with stakeholders who will benefit from the continuing services offered by the Office of Online Learning and the new services we can provide through the Center for Teaching and Learning,” Stephanie said. “My commitment to fostering collaboration and driving positive change is unwavering, and I am confident that together, we can achieve amazing results!”
