Faculty Excellence Award nominations are due Feb. 15

The nomination period for Cincinnati State’s annual Faculty Excellence Awards ends February 15, 2023– so when other end-of-semester tasks are wrapped up, please think about nominating a colleague for recognition.

The Excellence Awards will be presented in Spring Semester 2023.

Nominations for the House/Bruckmann Faculty Excellence Award and the Adjunct Faculty Excellence Award can be submitted anytime prior to the deadline using the online nomination forms (links below).

House/Bruckmann Faculty Excellence Award:
  • Two House/Bruckmann awards are presented annually. Any member of the full-time faculty who currently is tenured may be nominated for the award. However, award recipients from the past 5 years are not eligible, and self-nominations are not accepted.
  • To submit a nomination, use the online form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/VL6NDTR_HB22nomination.
Adjunct Faculty Excellence Award:
  • Up to 5 Adjunct Faculty Excellence Awards are presented annually, with no more than one recipient per division (BTD, EIT, HPS, H&S, and adjunct faculty not assigned to one of the other divisions).
  • Adjunct faculty who may be nominated for the award include those who work in a part-time capacity for the College in assignments that involve instruction, cooperative education coordination, clinical coordination, academic advising, or another faculty role.
  • College full-time staff members who also serve part-time in adjunct faculty roles may be nominated for this award, but their nomination must be based entirely on their work as an adjunct.
  • To submit a nomination, use the online form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/V9LCG2B_AdjunctNominee.
Reminders for submitting and editing nominations:
  • You may revise or add to a previously submitted nomination until February 15, 2023, but you must use the same computer and browser to do so.
  • To submit a NEW nomination, you will need to clear your browser’s history OR use another computer or browser to do so.
  • Details for each nomination criterion you select are typed into a textbox that limits your contribution to approximately 300 words. It is easier to draft your nomination language in a Word or text document and then copy and paste it into the form.

For additional information about the awards selection processes, see the Daily News article published Nov. 9.
