Cincinnati State faculty to be honored at GC3 Celebration of Teaching

Two Cincinnati State faculty members– Jayne Dressing and Pam Ecker– will be recognized at the 34th Annual Celebration of Teaching hosted by the Greater Cincinnati Collegiate Connection (GC3).

  • GC3 will recognize this year’s honorees during an online Celebration of Teaching that premieres on Tuesday, Dec. 14, starting at noon.

  • GC3 includes 18 area colleges and universities, and strives to “enhance the vitality of higher education and strengthen each individual institution, its faculty, its administration, and its student body.”

Jayne and Pam were the recipients of the College’s House/Bruckmann Faculty Excellence Awards for 2021.

  • Jayne is the Cooperative Education and Internship Coordinator for the Humanities & Sciences Division. She is a tenured professor who has served the College as a full-time faculty member since 2008.
     
  • In addition to helping students obtain experiential learning opportunities that enhance their career goals, and teaching career exploration courses, Jayne also supports students through initiatives like the Women’s Empowerment Network.
     
  • Pam is Professor of Technical & Professional Communication in the Engineering & Information Technology Division. She joined the faculty in 1986.
     
  • Along with her teaching responsibities, Pam assists with College communications as the editor of Daily News, and has a long history of participation in College governance activities, including more than two decades of service as President of Cincinnati State AAUP.
