Wellness Workshops continue and are open to all

Members of the College community are welcome to join the workshop series “Wellness and Healing: Know Yourself, Love Yourself” that continues today, Mar. 17, and on Mar. 24 and Mar. 31 also.

Workshops take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. each Wednesday, via Zoom.

The workshop leader is Kami Lerma from Wheelwork Wellness.

Workshop objectives include:

  • Explore mindfulness to increase awareness of Self and ways of being
  • Learn about the concept of living purposefully
  • Discover new ways to move into a place of clarity, calm, and empowerment
  • Learn ways to integrate healthy actions into everyday life

The workshop series is sponsored by Student Activities, the Women’s Empowerment Network, and the Psychology Club.

Faculty member Jayne Dressing, one of the facilitators for the Women’s Empowerment Network, said the first workshop on Mar. 10 had great participation from students, faculty, and staff.

“There is still plenty of room to join us, even if you can only attend one workshop,” Jayne said.

  • The Wellness Workshops are free, but registration is required to receive the Zoom meeting link.
