Join the Alumni Association Mardi Gras “Party in Place” on Feb. 16

The Cincinnati State Alumni Association invites all members of the College community to celebrate Mardi Gras with a “Carnival Party in Place” on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Your $75 ticket (with proceeds supporting Cincinnati State student scholarships) provides:

  • Pre-portioned ingredients for a 4-person meal, featuring Jambalaya, Shrimp & Grits, and Bananas Foster
  • Six-piece kitchen toolkit
  • Mardi Gras trinkets
  • Recipe cards
  • Access to the cooking demonstration and online show on Feb. 16.
     
    Starting at 6 p.m. on Feb. 16, you can join the Mardi Gras Carnival cooking demonstration and festivities led by Presenting Chefs Debbie Knueven Gannaway (Gramma Debbie’s Kitchen) and Dillon Ruby (Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment).
     
    The Party Kits will be distributed prior to the event.

Presenting Chef Debbie Gannaway is a lifelong resident of the Cincinnati area, a Cincinnati State graduate, and a member of the Alumni Association Board and the Cincinnati State Foundation Board.
 
Debbie began her second career in 2005, as part owner of Kroeger and Sons Meats at Findlay Market. Gramma Debbie’s Kitchen became a reality in 2010, where Debbie and her team produce delicious, home style foods for a variety of customers.

Presenting Chef Dillon Ruby is Co-Owner and Talent Director at Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment, where he assists in leading an organization of 7 steakhouses in Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee and a team of more than 700 employees. He is also a Cincinnati State graduate.

Dillon helped to develop and launch of one of his family’s top endeavors, the Jeff Ruby Foundation. The Foundation’s goal is to address childhood poverty in Cincinnati and reduce the number of children in the Hamilton County foster care system.
