Santa Claus with a child — Santa Claus helped with BMI Gift Distribution

During the 2022 holiday season, Cincinnati State’s Black Male Initiative (BMI) helped provide a Merry Christmas for four Cincinnati State students and their families.

BMI Advisor Bryan Dell said members Johnathan Zona and Naimah El-Amin took the lead in ensuring that wish lists were fulfilled, thanks to a group of donors who contributed to the project.

Alyssa Plavsic, one of the gift recipients, said she was “beyond grateful” for the support for herself and her daughters.

“I don’t have any family to lean on while I’m trying to complete my program, so thank you to BMI for everything,” she added.

Bryan said all of the gift recipients expressed their gratitude and thanked everyone involved in making their holiday bright.
