Common Time on Sep. 19 looks at student preferences for course formats and schedules

In Spring 2022, more than 400 Cincinnati State students responded to a survey about course scheduling and preferences for course modalities (such as web, hybrid, and in-person).

During Common Time (3 to 4:30 p.m.) on Monday, September 19, Dr. Stephanie Stafford, Assistant Dean of Online Learning, will present the survey results to help College faculty and staff members understand:

  • Challenges students face when constructing a schedule
  • Factors that drive students to select specific course modalities
  • Student satisfaction with and performance in courses that use various modalities
  • Opportunities for improvements in course delivery across modalities

The Associate Deans from the academic divisions (Marre Barnett, Angela Haensel, Kim McMillan, Janet Schlaak, and Audrey Woods) will assist in leading discussion of how the survey findings might influence future course offerings, and how to identify the support needed to make changes.

The Common Time program takes place in the Main Building Conference Center, and also will be available via Zoom. Common Time is open to all College employees.
