Changes announced for Cincy State leadership team
President Robbin Hoopes has announced several changes to the College’s leadership team, including appointing Geoffrey Woolf to the new position of Vice President of the Student Experience (VPSE).

The responsibilities of the VPSE focus on leading efforts to provide academic and non-academic support for students, including the support centers for tutoring, writing, math, and proctoring; the support programs CState Complete, CState Accelerate, and TRIO; services for special populations including disability services, veterans, and international students; student activities; and student communications. Soni Hill, the Senior Director of Student Services, will work closely with VP Woolf.
Announcing the new position, President Hoopes said, “Students’ sense of belonging, which is crucial to their academic persistence, hinges on robust opportunities for students to connect and grow, and well-coordinated academic support services.”
VP Woolf joined Cincinnati State as a faculty member in 1998. He became the Dean of the Humanities & Sciences Division in 2017.
Janet Schlaak is now the Interim Dean of the Humanities & Sciences Division, where she has served as Associate Dean since 2021. She joined the Cincinnati State faculty in 2010.

President Hoopes also announced that Audrey Woods is the new Senior Director of Student Services.
Woods joined the College in 2021 as an Associate Dean in the Business Division. She was selected as the Director of Admissions in 2024. In her new role, she will provide strategic leadership for marketing, admissions, financial aid, registrar services, career services, and administrative aspects of College Credit Plus (CCP). The academic aspects of CCP are supervised by the Dean of Humanities & Sciences.
Within the Enrollment Services area, others with new leadership responsibilities include Brittany King, Interim Lead of Marketing, and Kevin Wesselman, Interim Director of Admissions.
Other members of President Hoopes’ leadership team are Dr. Denise Rohr (Interim Provost), Steve Morris (Chief Financial Officer and VP of Administration), and Elliott Ruther (Chief of Institutional Advancement).
Also, Dean of Business Yvonne Baker is now providing oversight and support for Cheryl Brackman, the Director of the College’s Workforce Development Center.
Reflecting on the leadership changes, President Hoopes said, “Cincinnati State is fortunate to have employees who possess great competence and dedication to our mission. I’m excited to see how these leadership changes will propel the College forward with fresh ideas and innovation.”
