Retirement events for Pres. Posey take place Aug. 27, 28 & 31; sign the guestbook by Aug. 14

During the last week of August, Cincinnati State will celebrate the distinguished career of President Monica Posey at several events prior to her official retirement on August 31, 2026.

Also, Cincinnati State employees, alumni, and friends are invited to sign the digital Guestbook and share your thoughts, memories, and well-wishes for Dr. Posey. The online Guestbook will close Friday, August 14.

Retirement Celebration events include:

• Thursday, August 27 – 3 to 5 p.m. – Clifton Campus Conference Center
  Join Dr. Posey on campus for fellowship, refreshments, and shared memories. All are welcome at this free event.
   
• Friday, August 28 – 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. – Hyatt Regency Cincinnati (151 W. Fifth St.)
  Join community leaders, alumni, and friends for a special luncheon honoring Dr. Posey’s career and contributions to Cincinnati State. Funds raised will support the Dr. Monica J. Posey Student Success Center (first floor of the Main Building on Clifton Campus).
  
  The planned Student Success Center reflects Dr. Posey’s belief that talented students are most likely to succeed when academic excellence is matched by equally strong support outside the classroom. Designed as a central location where students can connect with academic advising, career services, financial assistance, tutoring, transfer support, and other essential resources, the Student Success Center will help future generations of students navigate college successfully from enrollment through graduation.

• Monday, August 31 – 11 a.m.-8 p.m. – Honors Scholarship Golf Classic – Wetherington Golf & Country Club (West Chester)
  Join Dr. Posey on her final official day as President of Cincinnati State for a day of golf, camaraderie, and philanthropy. Proceeds from the event support Honors Program scholarships.
