Cincy State received $3M in Federal funding to improve advanced manufacturing labs

Cincinnati State has received $3 million in Federal grant funds to assist with renovations for the College’s Advanced Manufacturing labs and classrooms.

U.S. Representative Greg Landsman and staff members from the offices of U.S. Senators Bernie Moreno and Jon Husted presented a check to Dr. Monica Posey during a brief ceremony held April 27, 2026.

After the check presentation, Rep. Landsman and the others toured the labs and talked to faculty members and students from the Mechanical Engineering Technology program.

The full cost of upgrading all of the Advanced Manufacturing facilities and other labs in the “B-Wing” of the Clifton Campus is estimated at over $13 million. The completed project will modernize classrooms and labs in the College’s Main Building that are used by several Engineering Technology programs.

Cincinnati State’s Main Building is one of the oldest facilities in use in any of Ohio’s 22 community colleges.

President Posey said, in coverage aired by WKRC-TV (Ch. 12), that the planned B-Wing improvements will provide support for expanding the College’s critical role in “making sure that students are truly prepared for real-world work.”
