Welcome, Library Director Bethany Spencer
Bethany Spencer is the new Director of the College’s Johnnie Mae Berry Library. She is returning to Cincinnati State after previously serving on the College’s Library team from 2016 to 2021.

Bethany said, “I’m happy to be back at Cincy State and getting to contribute to our students’ success!” She describes herself as an advocate of student-centered service and outreach, and looks forward to leading the Library in focusing on the College’s mission and strategic plan.
Bethany holds a Bachelor of Science in Library Informatics from Northern Kentucky University and a Master of Library and Information Management from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. She also earned a Master of Science in Information Technology – Business Intelligence from Purdue University Global.
Bethany has over ten years of experience in library science, including positions at the Kenton County Public Library, the Tennessee State University Library, as well Cincinnati State. In addition, she served as a Graduate Admissions Counselor at Mount St. Joseph University.
In her spare time, Bethany enjoys traveling, crocheting, and spending time with her two dogs, Sprocket and Beauregard.
