Attend a culinary demonstration with Chef Jeff Henderson on Sept. 24

The Midwest Culinary Institute invites retirees and friends of Cincinnati State to enjoy a culinary demonstration presented by Chef Jeff Henderson on Wednesday, September 24, starting at 10 a.m., in the Culinary Demonstration Theater (ATLC 043) on Clifton Campus.
- You can enter the Culinary Demonstration Theater on the ATLC first floor, using the Theater doors across from the Bookstore.
- The demonstration is free, but you’ll need to pay a $5 fee to use campus parking. The presentation is expected to take 60 to 90 minutes.
Jeff Henderson is an award-winning chef, a New York Times best-selling author, an entrepreneur, and a motivational speaker. His inspiring story has been featured in numerous national publications and TV shows such as Oprah’s Life Class, Good Morning America, the Today Show, ABC World News Tonight, CNN, and the Steve Harvey Show.
Chef Jeff discovered his passion for cooking while serving a 10-year prison term, but his career path led him to positions as an executive chef in well-known restaurants such as the Bellagio and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. He now lives in Las Vegas with his family.
In 2020, Chef Jeff founded the “Chef Jeff Project,” a program that offers professional training in the food service industry to youths ages 15-24 who dropped out of high school, or aged out of foster care, or are struggling with addiction. Case management services and student employment counselors help each youth successfully complete the program and gain a pathway to enter the workforce or continue their culinary education.
