Condolences to Lisa Violand

Bruce Violand, husband of retired Cincinnati State employee Lisa Violand, died suddenly on March 15, 2025. 

Lisa served in several roles at the College, including as an academic advisor in the Business Division and as the director of the College’s Transfer Center. 

Bruce was a long-time business owner in Madeira and the guitarist for local band The Whistlepigs.

A musical Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, May 3, from 3 to 7:30 p.m. at the Miami Boat Club, 6071 Second St., Miamiville, OH, 45140. 

Bruce’s family invites one and all to celebrate Bruce’s kind and jovial spirit.
