Cincinnati City Council honored Pres. Posey during Women’s History Month

The members of Cincinnati’s City Council honored President Monica Posey during the City Council meeting on March 25, 2026. 

The Council unanimously approved a Women’s History Month resolution that recognized Dr. Posey’s “historic leadership and contributions to education and the City of Cincinnati.”

The resolution, presented by Vice Mayor Jan-Michele Kearney, noted Dr. Posey’s service to numerous educational, arts, and civic organizations in Greater Cincinnati and her legacy of “leadership, opportunity, and inspiration for future generations.”

Several members of City Council and Cincinnati State Board of Trustees member Mark Walton also thanked Dr. Posey for her service to the community and congratulated her for her accomplishments.

In accepting the honor, Dr. Posey thanked Council members for their support of the College.
