In the 1-hour podcast episode, Latoya shares wisdom gained from earning five academic degrees, describes how her experience in runway modeling helps her teach students about confidence and presentation, and explains how her faith serves as the bedrock of her commitment to community empowerment.

The federally-funded TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program helps first-generation, low-income, and/or disabled students to complete their associate degree and transfer to a four-year college or university. in July 2025, the College was notified that the U.S. Department of Education approved continuation of Cincinnati State’s TRIO grant for another five years.

The “Let’s Talk TRIO” podcast is dedicated to capturing stories from TRIO alumni, current participants, staff, and advocates. The executive producer is Juan M. Rivas, a TRIO alum and graduate of Eastern New Mexico University. The podcast has produced 20 episodes so far.
