Fall brings changes to Clifton Campus

If you haven’t visited Cincinnati State’s Clifton Campus recently, you’re missing out on several improvements to campus facilities and services.

  • In the Main Building, all lockers have been removed, saying a farewell to that “it looks like a high school” feeling. (Lockers are still available in the Fitness Center… even for those who have no plans to exercise.)
  • In the ATLC, the First Floor Lounge has new seating, new tables, and a new floor.
  • Also in the ATLC, the aging carpet on upper floors has been replaced with new tile.
  • The ATLC Open Computer Lab has moved to ATLC 419, and the former open lab area on the ATLC third floor will become a Proctoring Center for online students who need to take a supervised test, or for students who need to complete a “make-up” test.
  • The Campus Bookstore is in the same location on the ATLC first floor, but there’s new management and new efficiencies so students can buy books and other course materials online, with free pickup at the on-campus store.
  • Bakery Hill has new coffee options including gourmet coffee and espresso with fresh-ground beans for every pot of coffee or espresso drinks that is brewed. New exclusive coffee blends are:
    • Bakery Hill Proprietary Blend Light Roast: 70% Guatemalan Antigua, 20% New Guinea, and 10% Colombian beans
    • Midwest Culinary Institute (MCI) Proprietary Blend Dark Roast: 70% French Roast Costa Rican and 30% Guatemalan Estate beans
    • For decaf drinkers, a Colombian 50/50 blend of French & Regular roast beans
    • The espresso is a blend of Indian Monsooned Malabar, Guatemalan, and Ethiopian Harrar
    • A rotating flavored coffee will be offered, starting with Crème Brulee

So next time you visit Clifton Campus, take time to appreciate the changes!
