Cincy State & partners hosted “Scrubs Camp” for high school students

During the first week of May 2025, Cincinnati State hosted “Scrubs Camp 2025,” giving about 50 students from Diamond Oaks high school opportunities to explore a variety of career opportunities in healthcare while interacting with CState faculty and staff members.
Partners in presenting the Scrubs Camp included The Health Collaborative, Great Oaks Career Campuses, Southwest Ohio College Tech Prep, and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

During the week, the high school students learned through lectures, labs, demonstrations, and conversations with Cincinnati State faculty and staff; strengthened their healthcare career development skills; and participated in interactive activities.
Campers also spent a day at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center learning about the world of work through tours and on-the-job meetings with healthcare professionals.
On the final day, campers invited a parent or guardian to attend a lunch where students spoke about their experiences and received a certificate of participation.
