Suit-Up Day for men is Apr. 17; students can get career photos & career advice

Apr 15, 2024

Cincinnati State students are invited to the second annual “Men’s Suit-Up Day” on Wednesday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the ATLC First Floor Lounge.

The event is sponsored by the Cincinnati State Career Closet, with support from community partners including Macy’s, Kroger, Jos. A. Bank, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and Kingdom Family Dentistry.

Activities for participating students include:

  • Get a professional photo of yourself dressed in your professional attire.
  • “Shop” for free professional attire from the Cincinnati State Career Closet and get advice on career wardrobe styling.
  • Learn about professionalism and other career topics during a panel discussion with business and industry representatives.
  • Network with others and gain career resources.
  • See the “dressed up” student recipients of new suits from Macy’s. These students were nominated by Cincinnati State organizations and entered into a raffle to receive a suit.
  • Enter raffle drawings for a $50 Kroger gift certificate, a free suit from Jos. A. Bank, and other career attire.
  • Enjoy refreshments and giveaways.

Media representatives are expected to attend the event also.

The Cincinnati State Career Closet provides professional and business casual clothing and accessories at no cost to students and alumni who need attire for interviews, co-op or internship assignments, or other occasions where professional attire is expected.
