Condolences to the family of Lynn Barber

Lynn M. Barber, who served as Cincinnati State’s Interim Registrar for five years, died March 5, 2024.

Lynn spent 43 years in administrative roles at the University of Cincinnati, including 27 years as University Registrar. UC established the Lynn M. Barber conference room in the new University Pavilion in recognition of his service.

After his retirement from UC in 2003, Lynn agreed to lead the Registrar’s Office at Cincinnati State. He enjoyed mentoring the staff and helping the College enhance services offered through the Registrar’s Office. Five years later, in early 2008, he retired for good.

• Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 13, at Spring Grove Funeral Home (4389 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45223) from 5 to 7 p.m.
• A visitation and funeral service will be held Thursday, March 14, at Immanuel Presbyterian Church (3445 Clifton Ave., Cincinnati OH 45220) beginning with visitation at 10:30 a.m. followed by services at 11:30 a.m.
