Main Building Wi-Fi gets an upgrade

During the next several weeks, the Information Technology Services team will be replacing the wireless network in the Clifton Campus Main Building, by installing 180 new access points throughout the building.

The wireless networks will transition from the current networks (“cstate” and “cstate-staff”) to new networks.

As the installation of new access points proceeds, you’ll see these new network names when you try to use Wi-Fi:

  • CS-MAIN-Staff – For Cincinnati State staff devices and users only. Login and authentication required.
  • CS-MAIN-Surge – A secured wireless network for all Cincinnati State students and employees using non-College owned devices. Login and authentication required.
  • CS-MAIN-Classroom – For Cincinnati State classroom devices with access to the Student network. Login and authentication required.
  • CS-MAIN-Guest – Non-secured wireless access to the internet. No authentication needed.
