I-75 / I-74 Construction Update – Mar. 4-7
Some daytime and overnight restrictions are scheduled this week as part of highway construction projects.
- All scheduled work is contingent upon weather.
- To help ensure the safety of construction workers and the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed, and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zones.

Mill Creek Expressway Project
Monday, March 4:
- Single-lane closure on I-74 East from Montana Avenue overpass to southbound Beekman Street, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 5.
- Double-lane closure on southbound Beekman Street (left and middle lanes) between Colerain Avenue intersection and the southbound Beekman Street on ramp to I-74 East, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday.
- Closure of the southbound Beekman Street on-ramp to I-74 East, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday. Traffic will be detoured by way of Elmore Street, Colerain Avenue and Beekman Street to I-74 West and the Montana Avenue interchange to I-74 East.
- Closure of Elmore Street between the Colerain Avenue intersection and Dirr Street, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday. Traffic will be detoured by way of Colerain and Beekman.
- Short-term, intermittent full closure of I-74 East at the Beekman Street exit (Exit 18, from midnight to 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Tuesday, March 5:
- I-74 West contraflow lane closure, between the Spring Grove overpass and the southbound Beekman Street overpass, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 6.
- Closure of Elmore Street between the Colerain Avenue intersection and Dirr Street, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday. Traffic will be detoured by way of Colerain and Beekman.
Wednesday & Thursday, March 6 & 7:
- Single-lane (right lane) closure on I-74 West, between the I-75 overpass bridge and the Elmore Street overpass, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
- Full closure of Spring Grove Avenue, between Colerain Avenue and Millcreek Road, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. During closure, traffic will be detoured via Spring Grove Avenue, Monmouth Avenue, Central Parkway and Ludlow Avenue.
