Please encourage students to complete the HLC survey by Feb. 14

Starting on Monday, February 5, at 9 a.m., all degree-seeking students enrolled in Spring Semester classes will receive email and text messages asking them to participate in the Student Opinion Survey from the Higher Learning Commission..

Faculty and staff members can help in collecting this important data for Cincinnati State’s re-accreditation by encouraging students to complete the survey, which should take only about 5 minutes.

Data from the survey will be examined by the Peer Review Team from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) that will visit Cincinnati State in April for a comprehensive evaluation of the College.

According to the HLC website, the student survey “provides students with an opportunity to participate in the accreditation process and to inform the peer review team.” A report on the survey results will be provided to Cincinnati State prior to the accreditation site visit.

The survey email will be sent from institutionalresearch@cincinnatistate.edu and should be submitted by Wednesday, February 14.

The email message to students says:

The Higher Learning Commission is the institutional accrediting association that comprehensively evaluates our school. Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is going through the process this year. Your comments about your experiences are very important. A summary of your input will be provided to the team of representatives from the Higher Learning Commission who will be visiting our school. The answers you give on this survey are anonymous. Unless you include identifying information in your comments, the Higher Learning Commission and the institution will not have access to your identity. Your participation is completely voluntary.
