Career Closet “Pop-Up & Shop” event assisted many students

Dec 1, 2023

Over 70 students obtained high-quality professional attire at no cost during the “Pop-up & Shop” days offered by the Cincinnati State Career Closet on November 14-16.

Co-op Coordinator Brian Hooten, who facilitates Career Closet activities, thanked the dedicated Career Closet student workers for their efforts and noted that support from the CState Accelerate program enhanced the Career Closet’s ability to serve students effectively.

Brian also thanked Co-op Coordinator Jayne Dressing, who encouraged her students to participate in the event.

Brian said the Career Closet is able to provide students with free access to professional and fashionable men’s and women’s attire for interviews and other career-related events because of generous donations from alumni, faculty, staff, and community members.

The Career Closet, located on the Lower Level of the Main Building, is open in Fall Semester on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
