I-75 / I-74 Construction Update – Aug. 21-25

Some daytime and overnight restrictions are scheduled this week as part of highway construction projects.

All scheduled work is contingent upon weather.
To help ensure the safety of construction workers and the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed, and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zones.

A permanent right lane closure on I-75 South from Mitchell Avenue to just north of Ludlow Avenue is in place for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to be complete by the end of September.

Wednesday, August 23:

Full closure of the ramp from Mitchell Avenue to I-75 South between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Thursday, August 24.

Thursday, August 24:

Beginning at 11 p.m., double-lane closure on I-75 South, from Mitchell Avenue to just north of Ludlow Avenue, until 5 a.m. Friday, August 25.
Full closure of the ramp from Mitchell Avenue to I-75 South between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Friday.

Friday, August 25:

Beginning at 11 p.m., triple-lane closure on I-75 South, from Mitchell Avenue to just north of Ludlow Avenue, until 5 a.m. Saturday, August 26.
Full closure of the ramp from Mitchell Avenue to I-75 South between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday.

Monday, August 21:

Closure of the contraflow lane on I-74 West, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22.

Tuesday & Wednesday, August 22 & 23:

Single-lane closure of the right/exit lane on I-74 West, between the Elmore Street overpass and the exit ramp to northbound Beekman Street (Exit 18), each night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. The exit ramp will remain open from 8 -10 p.m.
Closure of the ramp from I-74 West to northbound Beekman Street (Exit 18) each night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.

Thursday, August 24:

Single-lane closure on I-74 West, between the exit ramp to northbound Beekman Street (Exit 18) and the southbound Beekman Street overpass, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Friday. The contraflow lane and the northbound Beekman Street exit (Exit 18) will remain open. Motorists from I-75 South to I-74 West will be detoured by way of Exit 18 and northbound Beekman Street and Colerain Avenue to the I-74 West entrance ramp.
Single-lane closure on I-74 East, between Beekman Street to Elmore Street, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Friday.
Double-lane closure on I-75 North, from Hopple Street to Mitchell Avenue, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Friday, August 25.
In the event of inclement weather or other construction-related event, this work will be performed Friday, August 25.
