Successful Culinary & Food Science grads are focus of WVXU report

Recent graduates of Cincinnati State’s Culinary & Food Science (CFS) bachelor’s degree program were interviewed, along with the CFS Program Chair, Chef Grace Yek, for a 5-minute story on WVXU radio that aired on July 24.

Reporter Ann Thompson profiled four CFS graduates who are now working in research or product development roles for local companies Perfetti Van Melle, Sugar Creek, and Archer Daniels Midland. All of the students talked about ways they are putting their classroom learning to use in their professional assignments.

Chef Yek described some of the technical components of the CFS degree and noted that today’s consumers are concerned about topics like ultra-processed foods and food safety.
