Volunteers of all ages can join the CS crew & help the Great Parks on May 6

Apr 26, 2023

Cincinnati State students, employees, and your friends and family members are invited to enjoy the outdoors and contribute to the community during a Great Parks clean-up event on Saturday, May 6, at Shawnee Lookout on the Great Miami River (2008 Lawrenceburg Road, North Bend, OH 45052).

From 9 a.m. to noon, the CState crew will help remove litter and debris near the riverbank.

Breakfast treats and drinks will be provided, along with clean-up gear such as bags, pickers, buckets, and gloves– or you can bring your own supplies.

Event organizer Milene Donlin said, “The Great Parks of Hamilton County offer wonderful experiences to the Cincinnati region. Joining our volunteer team is a great family-friendly way to give back to nature and support our community.”

  • Students, faculty, and staff members (and family members or friends of CState students and employees) are welcome to register and join the group.
  • Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

On the event day:

  • Wear your Cincinnati State gear to show how our College makes a difference in the community!
  • Wear comfortable clothes you won’t mind getting dirty, and wear closed-toe shoes.
