More helpers are needed to ensure Commencement runs smoothly on May 7

Cincinnati State’s 2023 Commencement ceremony takes place a month from now– on Sunday, May 7, at Cintas Center– and the Commencement Committee is seeking additional volunteers to help with this exciting and important College event.

Volunteer coordinator Linda Romero-Smith said typically about 40 volunteers assist with the event, but so far this year, fewer than 20 have offered their help.

Volunteer tasks include assisting students as they check-in and line up for the procession, handing out programs to guests, and carrying out other tasks that help the event run smoothly and make it a memorable occasion for our graduates and their family members.

If you can help, or if you have questions about volunteering, please send an email message to Linda (linda.romero@cincinnatistate.edu). Please include your name, email address, and division or department.

The Commencement Committee– and our graduates– appreciate your participation!
