More network systems restored

Many network services used by Cincinnati State students and employees have been restored this week, including:

  • MyProfile in MyServices (students can update address information if they need to)
  • Starfish (students can schedule advising appointments)
  • 25 Live (Spring room scheduling additions/changes can begin soon)
  • The intranet in MyCState
  • Several other network services used by Admissions, Finance, Financial Aid, Institutional Research, and other College departments. For the full list of restored services see the MyCState/Blackboard login page.
  • Students or employees having problems when trying to use MyServices or other network services that have been restored should contact the Technology Helpdesk at 513-569-1234, option 1.

The Registrar’s Office is sending notifications today, Dec. 16, to about 300 students who reserved courses in DualEnroll that did not successfully import to Colleague.

  • These students will be instructed to talk to their advisor about the courses that did not import for reasons that could include a missing prerequisite or corequisite, a schedule conflict, a course that requires instructor consent, a “hold,” or other reasons. No additional attempts will be made to move these courses from DualEnroll to Colleague.

The Admissions Office is continuing to process new applications for admission, including resolving problems for new students who used the temporary application form during the past few weeks.

  • IT Services has established a new process that gives new students access to online registration and other College services via a network account with a temporary password. Look for more about this new resource in Monday’s Daily News.

The Financial Aid Office is again processing and awarding financial aid packages on a daily basis.

Provost Robbin Hoopes sent a message to all Fall students on Dec. 15 with a reminder that the last day to withdraw from a Fall class is this Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022. (In a previous message to students, the deadline was incorrectly stated as Dec. 17, 2023.)

Work is continuing to bring back the remaining systems that are still offline.
