Students in the Performance Interpreting class (ITP 205) showed off the skills they gained in their Fall Semester class during a Variety Show on December 5.

Current students and graduates of the Interpreter Training degree program gathered in the ATLC Auditorium to enjoy the presentation along with family members and friends, as well as members of the Greater Cincinnati Deaf community.

The show included two group songs– “I’m Good” by David Guetta and Bebe Rexha, and, as the finale, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

Solo and duet performances included songs that ranged from Broadway musicals (“Suddenly Seymour”) and movie music (“For the First Time in Forever” from “Frozen”) to ballads, country, pop, and more. Audience members also helped with a seasonal Sign-Along of “Jingle Bells.”

ITP Program Chair Dawn Caudill said, “It was an amazing time. The students worked hard all semester learning how to sign songs in different genres, and they did a great job at the Variety Show.”
