METRO changes process for student discount; free bus rides offered until Sep. 28

Cincinnati METRO has a new process for providing discounted pricing to Cincinnati State students, and students who register for the new system can ride free until September 28.

Instead of obtaining a discount card, as was required in the past, students now need to follow these steps:

  • Create an account using the student’s Cincinnati State email address.
    • Other email addresses will not qualify for the discount program.
    • A student who already has a Transit with EZfare account that uses a different email address needs to set up a new account with the CState email address.
  • Then, the student must log in to MyServices, go to the “Metro Discount Bus Pass” section, select Fall Semester, and check “Yes, I want to opt-in to the Metro Discount Bus Pass Program.”
  • After the College verifies to METRO that the student is registered, the discount will go into effect, and discounted pricing ($1 per ride, 50 cents for transfers) will begin.

Students must register in MyServices each semester for the METRO discount to remain in effect.
