College network outage on May 22; log-in may look different for a few weeks

As part of the IT Modernization project, new network equipment (servers, storage, and switches) will be installed on Sunday, May 22, between 3 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • Some networks services, listed below, will not be available during the maintenance period.
     
  • MyCState/Blackboard, MyServices, College Email, and Self-services will remain accessible on Sunday.

Starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, and continuing for several weeks, you may see a slightly different login screen when you access Office 365. The change in the login screen is related to ongoing activities of the IT Modernization project.

  • The current login screen (below) includes places to enter your user name and password on the same screen:

  • The new login screen (below) includes a place to enter your user name. You’ll then move to a second screen to enter your password.

Systems that will be offline during the maintenance period (3 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday) are:

  • eForms
  • Employee Directory
  • Faculty Grading
  • Financial Aid Offer
  • Informer
  • Master Course List
  • Network Storage (NAS)
  • Password Reset Tool
  • Starfish
  • Student Grade Report
  • Surge Time
  • Virtual Desktop
