Construction projects in Main– including Health SIM Lab– begin May 3

Apr 29, 2022

Several construction and maintenance projects will be taking place on campus this summer, so be prepared for some noise and other disruptions.

  • On Monday, May 2, a large construction dumpster will be placed next to to the Main Building loading dock. This dumpster will remain in place throughout the construction of the Health Professions Simulation Lab (SIM Lab).

  • On Tuesday, May 3, SIM Lab construction will begin, in the area of the Main Building first floor formerly occupied by Purchasing and the Cashier’s Office, as well as adjacent areas.
    • Work will start with demolition of the floors– a noisy process that involves jackhammers. Demolition is expected to last about 2 weeks.
    • The floor plan above shows the SIM Lab layout.
  • Also on May 3, a temporary air handling unit will be installed on Main first floor in the area between the Disability Services Office and the College Access Programs (TRiO) office.
    • The diagram below shows the location of the temporary air handler.
