President of National Black Nurses Assn visits CState on Apr. 8

Cincinnati State will welcome Martha A. Dawson, DNP, RN, FACHE, President of the National Black Nurses Association, for “A Gathering of Minds” on Friday, Apr. 8.

The event takes place from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 02 of the Health Professions Building. Light refreshments will be served.

All members of the College community are invited to attend.

Dr. Dawson is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

The National Black Nurses Association was organized in 1971 and represents approximately 200,000 African American registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing students, and retired nurses from the US, Canada, Eastern Caribbean, and Africa.

The organization has 115 chapters that provide community-based health care services and outreach to African American communities throughout the US.
