CState student featured in “Cincinnati Edition” report on transportation needs

Amanda Mills, a Cincinnati State nursing student, was interviewed recently on the WVXU radio show “Cincinnati Edition,” where she discussed the importance of free car maintenance services provided to her by the Samaritan Car Care Clinic in Covington, KY.

Amanda said the support from Samaritan Car Care Clinic, which is sponsored by Madison Avenue Christian Church in Covington, made it possible for her to keep up with her nursing classes and clinical experiences while also assisting her children with their studies and activities.

Amanda was one of two students interviewed. The students (and single mothers) described their experiences finding and maintaining reliable transportation needed for work, school, and family responsibilities, and their motivation to complete their own education despite challenges.
