Faculty & staff invited to be part of in-person Commencement on June 26
Faculty and staff members who want to participate in the 2021 Drive-Through Commencement event on Saturday, June 26, are welcome to gather on Clifton Campus on that day. No RSVP or special regalia is needed.
Faculty and staff members will line the sidewalk– starting at the Central Parkway Garage/ATLC crosswalk and continuing down the hill– to cheer, applaud, wave, and celebrate the success of our graduates!
- Graduates from Business Technologies and Humanities & Sciences programs are invited to attend the drive-through event from 9 to 11 a.m.
- Graduates from Health & Public Safety and Engineering & Information Technologies are invited to attend between noon and 2 p.m.
- Graduates from any academic division who are arriving via public transportation are asked to be on campus between 11 a.m. and noon.
Faculty and staff participants may arrive any time, stay as long as you wish, and depart any time.
- Since students will not be grouped by program, there’s no way to know exactly when specific graduates might arrive.
- Information will be shared prior to June 26 about the number of students in each division who have completed the event participation eForm.
What to wear and bring:
- Dress comfortably for warm weather. Academic regalia is not expected for this event, but Cincinnati State attire is encouraged, along with comfortable shoes.
- Bring water or other non-alcoholic refreshment.
- Consider bringing an umbrella for shading yourself from the sun (or rain) if needed.
- Applicable College safety protocols will be in effect.
Where to park: Use the Central Parkway Garage (enter from Central Parkway ONLY, and not from Ludlow).
- Note that traffic will be ONE WAY through campus during the event, including one way traffic on College Drive.
- Graduate vehicles will enter College Drive from Central Parkway, and proceed on College Drive to the entrance to the ATLC, where graduates will receive memorabilia from College leaders. Vehicles will then continue down the hill and turn left toward the ATLC Garage and then right to exit at the light onto Ludlow Ave.
- If you choose to park in Lot D or behind the Main Building, please note that you’ll need to leave campus using the same route as the graduates. You will NOT be able to use College Drive to go back down the hill to Central Parkway.
