Plans announced for June 26 Commencement

On Saturday, June 26, Cincinnati State will celebrate Commencement 2021 as both a virtual and in-person (drive-through) event.

Commencement 2021 has two components:

  • A commencement video produced by Storyocity (creators of the 2020 virtual Commencement) will be released on June 26 on the Graduation and Commencement page of the Cincinnati State website.
    • The video will contain many elements of a typical commencement ceremony including greetings from faculty and special guests, presentation of honorary degrees, and acknowledgement of all Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 graduates.
  • A drive-through celebration will be held on Cincinnati State’s Clifton Campus, starting at 9 a.m. on June 26.

Graduate vehicles will enter College Drive from Central Parkway, and proceed on College Drive to the entrance to the ATLC, where graduates will receive memorabilia from College leaders (while remaining comfortable and safe from cicadas).
    • Graduates from Business Technologies and Humanities & Sciences should arrive between 9 and 11 a.m.

    • Graduates from Health & Public Safety and Engineering & Information Technologies should arrive between noon and 2 p.m.

    • Graduates from any academic division who are arriving via public transportation should plan to be on campus between 11 a.m. and noon, and report to the 5th floor of the Central Parkway Garage, near the elevators.

    • All graduates who plan to participate in the drive-through event, including those using public transportation, should complete the event eForm.

    • Only one vehicle is permitted for each graduating student, with as many guests as fit comfortably in the vehicle.

    • Graduates who wish to purchase caps and gowns as memorabilia can place an order by calling the College’s Bookstore at (513) 569-1507. Regalia is not required to participate in the drive-through event.

Additional information for graduates is on the Graduation and Commencement web page, which will be updated as needed. The College also will continue to send updates by email to those eligible for the 2021 Commencement event.

Information about faculty and staff participation in the June 26 drive-through event will be provided in the near future.
