Service Anniversary Awards presented to more than 50 employees

More than 50 Cincinnati State employees, along with some recent retirees, received Service Anniversary Awards during Common Time on Feb. 8.

Wayne Herbers and Karen Magness-Lewe (above) were recognized for reaching the milestone of 35 years of service to the College. Jeff Vetter also achieved 35 years of service prior to his 2020 retirement.

Mike DeVore (right) achieved 30 years of service. Others who passed the 30 year milestone prior to their retirement include Andi Feld, Bessie Pitts, Gail Quinlan, and Terri Reynolds.

  • The virtual event was hosted by Tom Hale and Jesse Brown, with comments and applause (and occasional laughter at the jokes from Jesse and Tom) added by an online panel. Other participants offered comments and kudos via onscreen chat messages.

  • The traditional service anniversary pins are being mailed to those who were honored during the virtual celebration.

President Monica Posey thanked all of the service award recipients for their contributions to the College and for “dedication and passion for your work.”
