BOT approved academic calendar for 21-22 & conducted other business at Jan. 26 meeting

The Cincinnati State Board of Trustees approved the academic calendar for 2021-22 at their meeting on Jan. 26.

The 2021-22 calendar (click to download) begins in August 2021, and follows the same general pattern as the current calendar, with Spring Semester starting in mid-January, and no spring break.

  • Provost Robbin Hoopes reported to the Board that the proposed calendar for 21-22 was reviewed by several stakeholder groups.

  • Provost Hoopes said a compelling reason for the recommended calendar configuration is that the mid-January start provides sufficient time to assist new students who are enrolling in Spring.

  • The College-wide Calendar Committee, which includes faculty and staff representatives, will begin work soon on developing calendar recommendations for academic year 2022-23 and beyond.

  • The detailed “Important Dates Chart” for the 2021-22 year will be prepared by the Registrar’s Office for distribution in the future.
