In 2018, Paul served as a security “pathfinder” for the State of Ohio and helped six Ohio counties evaluate the security of their voting systems.

In the news story, Paul said electronic voting machines in Ohio have a paper back-up system that can be audited to provide additional election security. He said the election officials he met with have “never” found discrepancies between the electronic and paper records.
