Main Building Recovery Project – Progress Report for Oct. 19

Oct 19, 2020

Progress reports on the efforts to assess and repair damage to the Main Building will be provided regularly in Daily News.

Highlights for the past week, as reported by Vice President of Administration Lawra Baumann, include:

  • New boilers have been placed in the boiler room. We are waiting for delivery of pumps and electrical hook-up for the new boilers.

  • Electrical assessment continues in D, E, F, and G wings.

  • Electricity for limited emergency lighting in Main Building has been restored, which is helpful to the contractors working in the building.

  • Assessment of the power supply and equipment functionality has started for labs in A and B Wings.

  • Assessment and repairs to safety monitoring systems continues.
    • Because alarm systems are connected in all Clifton Campus buildings, some alarms in ATLC are sounding periodically when testing of systems takes place.

  • Engineering design work has started for replacement of the two chillers that were damaged.
