New resource available to help with Zoom teaching

Cincinnati State has licensed the PDF version of Keith Folse’s book Teaching with Zoom: A Guide for Complete Beginners for use by all College faculty members.

The PDF is available from the COVID-19 Faculty Resources Blackboard site, in the Zoom Support and Info section of the site.

The file is not to be distributed (in print or PDF form) to others outside of the College’s teaching community.

Folse is a professor at the University of Central Florida with previous experience in secondary education.

In the author’s Foreword, he says:

Teaching a class with Zoom can be a great experience if you can master a few of Zoom’s practical features. To this end, I’ve written this book to help my fellow teachers who are also trying to figure out how to teach their classes well with Zoom. Good luck, everyone!

Chapters of the book are:

  1. Introduction to Zoom for Teachers

  3. Creating Your Zoom Virtual Classroom
  4. Teaching Your Class
  5. Assessing Your Students
  6. Security and Privacy Issues
