Webinars offers advice for improving remote courses

Many organizations are continuing to offer programs that may be of interest to Cincinnati State faculty and other members of the College community.

The Chronicle of Higher Education is offering a free webinar on “Structuring a Course So That All Students Participate” on Wednesday, Sep. 9, at 2 p.m. (Eastern Time).

This virtual forum examines an essential question: How can faculty encourage as much collaboration and participation in the online classroom as they do in-person?

A panel of experts will discuss how to provide online classrooms that have a positive impact on student success. Panel members will offer insights on topics like:

  • Motivating disengaged students to participate
  • Considering the needs of low-income and first-generation students, and students of color
  • Designing a course that is welcoming to all
