Cincy State hosts training for Problem Gambling Prevention

Cincinnati State will host a Problem Gambling Prevention Day on Friday, March 6, 2026, to provide continuing education for professionals who support recovery for individuals with gambling problems. 

The free event is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to Cincinnati State employees and students as well as the general public.

Session topics include: 

  • “More Than A Bet” – Explores sports betting trends in Ohio, their impact on college communities, and the importance of anti-harassment education on campuses.
  • “Treatment Approaches for Disordered Gambling among Minorities in America” – Examines social, cultural, and systemic factors affecting disordered gambling in minority communities, barriers to treatment, and culturally responsive, evidence-based interventions.
  • Exhibits and resources also will be available.

Those planning to attend in person should register by Monday, March 2. If you plan to attend via Zoom, please register by Thursday, March 5.
