BMI thanks Blood Drive donors

The Black Male Initiative student organization (BMI) held a successful blood drive for Hoxworth Blood Center on February 28, collecting 19 units of blood that can potentially save more than 50 lives.

BMI advisor Bryan Dell said in addition to the donors, the organization appreciated support from Student Activities and promotional help from Nursing students Nate Bulbain, Marsha Reed (Moore), and Kristen Reed.

Bryan Leirer was the winner of a $25 Amazon gift card.

For the next blood drive, planned for November, BMI hopes to make the event more accessible for walk-in donors on the day of the event and hopes even more donors will participate.
